Nature’s bug catchers are: birds, bats, dragonflies, snakes, toads and frogs. Toads even eat slugs! So they are very special in my heart. If you successfully attract these creatures to your yard, you won’t be in need of a fly swatter, citronella candles or a bug zapper. Once you get them there, you need to keep them happy.
Remember to leave some leaf litter on the ground for them to hide in and stop using pesticides in your yard. Replace pesticides with your own compost or organic fertilizers. Pesticide-free landscapes have a better chance of keeping nature’s bug catchers happy and healthy and around.
